This necklace is called "Timia Ebony Sansalt" in the indigenous language of North Africa. The patterns on the surface are carefully carved by hand, one by one, and each pattern has its own meaning, symbolizing a thing, story, or allegory. The ne pendant top with round holes was carried as a substitute for tribal emblems and served as a compass in the desert. The silver and ebony wood used for the layered part is a very hard wood, which is a delicate and traditional design typical of Adawat'n Tuareg.
